This café appeals to folks who appreciate a calm setting with thoughtful touches — the seating is comfortable without being fussy, and the background music stays pleasantly low, allowing conversations to flow without interruption.

The menu leans on crowd-pleasers with a local twist, including standout dishes like the huge smoked duck don and a standout matcha yuzu drink that bring a bit of brightness to your table. How do you know when the food is good? Empty plates!!!! Thus check out my plate :-) my partner is still finishing her meal when mine is done and dusted. This is our 1st time and boy, was the review correct? It is the kind of place you go to when you need a meal while winding down; no rush, great food that get you to be present, pleasant ground music, non obtrusive staff, comfy seating, clean toilet and simple cute deco as if you are in your study. Tries their signature Mustard Yogurt Chicken Karagae with Ramen. You can replace the ramen with rice doc and can even get a free refill of the rice or ramen!!! The sauce is the perfect companion to the chicken - tart and fresh even though it has a yogurt base. The introduction of some lime made it so. So good balance. Not overpowering the taste of the chicken yet gives it a minute dimension of taste. The side dishes were excellent and complemented the main dish perfectly. The ‘kimchi’ like veg salad is sweet and sourish, balances the mashed potatoes nicely with the mashed ever delicately topped with a spice garnish. If I were to split hairs on the food, I would say the miso soup lack the umami usually associated with it. I find is a bit on the bland side yet does somewhat work with the full body of the ramen. The ramen full body comes from the ramen itself combined with shredded seaweed and an egg yolk. Without the full bodied ramen, the miso might not have worked. Oh, one other thing. The drinks are not the main star but definitely a co-star. Don’t under estimate the drink. All in all, highly recommended.a place you would definitely repeatedly come, I would! Ps: love the fact that they have a branch in DU :-)

Third time here, and still impressed every visit. I'm glad my guests felt the same each time too! This little cafe is cozy and serves their customers whole-heartedly. They were also generous with the refill portion, and the effort put into the details you see on your table says it all. One of them even accommodated to my birthday requests during my first visit here, which made our meal so much more satisfying and enjoyable. I enjoyed the quiet moments of their cafe, but also thrilled to see it being crowded at peak hours because they truly deserve the recognition! Truly underrated. The boss seems like a man of few words, but still assisted us politely. I believe this explains why their service crew is equally well-mannered, even when hiccups occurred. Other than introducing their mooncakes at the counter, I'm comforted that I was not forced to put in a Google review (with a hidden agenda) unlike some other eateries, because that shows how much love they genuinely put in for their customers, and not merely just to boost the reviews. Highly recommended for sure!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The food at ChicCafe is really good! Portions are big, prices are very affordable, and the value is amazing. I love that noodles and rice can be refilled for free — super worth it! The staff are friendly and provide great service. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience. I’ll definitely come back again!

Boldly proclaiming that they're Probably the Best Karaage in Subang and... I've got to agree. The karaage here truly excels. Big pieces of juicy well-marinated thigh meat under a light and crisp batter. Pairs well with their mustard yogurt sauce which is a lighter version of a honey mustard sauce (however if you order the regular set without the yogurt sauce it comes with a bland goopy mayo which is not to my liking, kewpie would be more appropriate.) The rice and ramen bases are also good, with the rice cooked al dente and lightly sauced and the ramen similar to a mazesoba. The pickled vegetables side gives some refreshing acid and heat to counter the rich chicken. The strawberry daifuku is also highly recommended. The strawberry was large and fresh and the daifuku made to order.

tonkatsu was solid good eating. tasty, tender and toothsome in hefty proportions. with good stuff trickling down into rice. likewise any offering with fried or chicken to its name. or, for that matter, fish and seafood. saba, scallop and shrimp were all dished with care and skill. all tasty and succulent, plus also bouncy and toothsome. miso and potato salad are fantastic wing elements. more would be better, but that's actually compliment. desserts are interesting also. coffee jelly, for instance. which also works as apperetif, actually.

The food was very good, all the options had a great portion and certainly did not disappoint. However, while the plating is very refined and made it very nice to take pictures, the dining experience was difficult because of the plating choice, for example the bowls for rice were quite small and full, which made it harder to eat. It would have been nice if the bowls were bigger. Another thing is the spoon being too thick, so that together with the bowls made it difficult. The service was mostly good, except that the waitress seemed a bit confused at times, although she looked new and inexperienced. Other than that, especially because the food was so delicious, i hope that the other things can improve so that more people can enjoy!
